Who are the communities that recover the fastest after experiencing great adversity?

Those that are connected. Those that know who they can reach out to in their neighborhood for help. Those that routinely practice and plan. Those with strong relationships. Those that know how to look internally for resources.

We can build communities like this together. Resilience, or the ability to better adapt to and quickly recover from adverse impacts, can be learned.

Purpose

Southern Larimer Mountain Communities asked and we heard! Larimer Connects is hosting our fourth Resilient Communities are Connected Communities Seminar in Estes Park! This workshop series is dedicated to learning resilience traits, How to Prepare for Everything, and building community capacity. We will also explore a faciliated scenario in which participants will learn the realities of experiencing a large-scale disaster, and how to work together to develop a plan ahead of time.

Light refreshments will be provided!

The goal of the workshop is to provide a facilitation in which participants develop their own action items to go forward in their community and build resilience. Join us for this great seminar! Resilience begins with you, and we can start now!
