Who are the communities that recover the fastest after experiencing great adversity?
Those that are connected. Those that know who they can reach out to in their neighborhood for help. Those that routinely practice and plan. Those with strong relationships. Those that know how to look internally for resources.
We can build communities like this together. Resilience, or the ability to better adapt to and quickly recover from adverse impacts, can be learned.
